Where’s Jai Are Ecstatic To Announce The Release Of Their Debut Ep Titled 'avenues'

Displaying Where’s Jai‘s recent songwriting, Avenues showcases what they bring to the table and shows off extreme musical and lyrical versatility. This combined with impeccable production from Christian Tjandrawinata, has resulted in a first body of work that they are extremely proud of and can’t wait for the world to hear.

Avenues touches on many different genres but can be summed up as indie-pop, with evident splashes of alternative rock, blues and soft acoustic music. Kicking off with Killing Off Dreams, it features dreamy synth layers, with sharp and powerful drum grooves along with detailed guitar playing and different vocal harmonies. Previously released singles Citrus Mistress and Pull Me In, which have been received with critical and audience acclaim, are included as well.

Stuck In Time continues the pace, bringing in hints of blues and alternative rock. Like Citrus Mistress, it’s written about a relationship turned bad. A powerful line from the song reads: “Drag me along on a string, call me your everything, I never drew the line..”. Stuck In Time showcases the musicianship of the band with an epic bass solo and an equally epic guitar solo, as well as intricate layering of instruments and simple but punchy drums. To round things off is Tyler’s Apology (Demo). The band felt this song didn’t need any major production and would sound great as a raw, simple track that they recorded themselves. This song is laid back, with a catchy melody and easy-on-the-ears guitars. The perfect track to round off the EP and it shows a different, more personal side of our songwriting to our audience.

This EP has been nearly 2 years in the making and the band are so excited for the world to hear it. This is only the beginning of their journey with plenty more to come, so follow them on all socials for new releases and show announcements.
