Womb to Join Aldous Harding for November Aotearoa Tour
Aotearoa trio Womb will join Aldous Harding as special guests for her highly anticipated Train On The Island Aotearoa tour this November.
Following the announcement of Harding’s first headline shows in New Zealand since 2023, Womb will bring their immersive, dream-pop sound to stages across the country, joining Harding for all four dates in Hamilton, Christchurch, Auckland and Wellington.

Formed by siblings Cello Forrester, Haz Forrester and Georgette Brown, Womb create music that feels both intimate and expansive, weaving ambient pop, art pop, shoegaze and alternative/indie sensibilities into deeply textured songs. Based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara, their sound is shaped by a life lived between Wellington, the American Midwest and Australia, with lyrical impressions drawn from queer experience, literature and the quiet ephemera of daily life.
The trio first began taking shape through Cello’s early recordings and performances in Wellington’s 2010s DIY scene, with Haz’s production and instrumentation and Georgette’s painting practice forming part of the siblings’ creative upbringing. They officially came together as a band in 2015 and have since released a steady stream of emotionally potent work, including Like Splitting the Head from the Body (2018), Holding a Flame EP (2021), Dreaming of the Future Again (2022) and their most recent album, One Is Always Heading Somewhere (2025), released via Flying Nun Records.
The band’s artistry has earned an APRA Silver Scroll nomination for Only You and saw One Is Always Heading Somewhere land at #18 in Rolling Stone’s Best New Zealand Albums of 2025. They have also performed live on NTS Breakfast with Flo Dill and shared stages with the likes of Dry Cleaning, The Beths, Marlon Williams and The Bats.
With festival appearances including Laneway and The Others Way, alongside tours across China, Australia, Ireland and Aotearoa, Womb bring a wealth of live experience to the November tour.
The tour kicks off in Kirikiriroa Hamilton on Wednesday November 25 at the BNZ Theatre, before heading to Ōtautahi Christchurch on Friday November 27 at Christchurch Town Hall, Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland’s Te Paepae Theatre at the NZICC on Saturday November 28, and concluding at Wellington’s Michael Fowler Centre on Sunday November 29.
The tour comes as Harding celebrates the release of her fifth studio album, Train On The Island, released earlier this year via Flying Nun Records. The 10-track album was co-produced with long-time collaborator John Parish at Rockfield Studios in Wales, where the pair previously recorded Party (2017), Designer (2019) and Warm Chris (2022).
The addition of Womb promises an especially memorable night for audiences, bringing together two of Aotearoa’s most distinctive voices in alternative music.
