World Battle of the Bands heats up in main centres

The next couple of weeks will see the end of the heats in the major centers in New Zealand and the beginning of the semi-finals.

The bands who made a good impression on the judges have survived another day to battle it out against other warriors in this competition. Have the judges already seen the band who will represent NZ at the world final battle? Or have they not competed yet? Will they be from Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch. Maybe they are from a small town somewhere else in NZ?

By the time the national final comes around there would have been around sixty battles taken place with about 150 bands struggling to make it to the main stage at Hysteria (national final hosts) on the 7th of October.

NZ sponsors and media partner’s who have so far made 2006 a great year for band warfare include Juice TV, Kiwi FM, Jack Daniels, Intergalactic Records, Stebbing Studios, Area 51 Studios.

Bands stand a chance to win musical equipment from the Rockshop, Dirty Dog Sunglasses, Recording time, Flights to Hong Kong and five star accommodation at the Harbor Plaza for the World Finals.
