Satellites Lp Review 1

I’ll be honest I didn’t even know NZ had Drum n Bass DJ’s let alone a whole industry and a producer who was on to his second album, but that’s why I love NZ, because of our diversity of amazing music. I’m going to put it out there pretty quick that I’m not usually a fan of the dirty drum n bass thing, but I was given the Album Satellites to take a listen to and I was highly impressed.

The album is packed with hard hitting beats, including the lead track Backburner which smashes the dance floor, Change Your Mind featuring Thomas Oliver and Homecoming featuring MC Tali both with smooth lyrics and transitions make those tracks forces of nature. Running which is a second collaboration track with Thomas Oliver is already a fan favourite throughout NZ and Two Minds, Misfits and Breed featuring State of Mind with infectious mixing are anthemic crowd pleasers!

TREi, though already with a passport full of stamps, scorching hot exclusive selections and the technical skills to match, is internationally known and over the last seven years, has made his mark at home and abroad. His work has linked him to some of the finest Drum and Bass record labels, club nights, DJ’s and producers on the planet. With releases on the likes of Viper Recordings, Commercial Suicide, Shogun Ltd, Samurai Music, Uprising Recordings; and gaining regular support from such luminaries as Concord Dawn, Andy C, Klute, Friction and Black Sun Empire to name a few. Continuing on from where 2009’s highly acclaimed debut album Innuendo left off; Satellites is set to propel TREi even further into the musical stratosphere.

You will love this album, there is actually something for everyone and to prove that is a point if you don’t usually like drum n bass, listen to Homecoming with MC Tali first, I bet you will change your mind!
