Hamilton based multi-talented musician Erin Myers has taken a new musical direction with her latest release Bad Reception. An evocative track as the name suggests, telling a story of miscommunication and loneliness within a relationship. This is a warm and harmonious track showcasing her refined vocals.
Bad Reception is packed full of feeling and tenderness, partnered with a 90’s vibe adding a nostalgic feel. The combination of “retro 80’s keyboard with a Weezer-esque guitar riff” has a melodious catchy sound. Erin’s vocals flow easily with a soft pop tone the chorus sticking in your head. Bad Reception is short and sweet but perfectly formed, delivering plenty of emotion and sincerity.
Musical influences include Kimbra and Billie Eilish which is reflected in her sound. As an emerging talent, Erin Myers is one to watch or indeed listen closely to.
Beautifully written by Erin Myers and Ben Malone. Produced by Ben Malone.
