The retooled Ignatia : Rising continue to surprise with their latest release - a quiet stunner, which is perhaps a reflection of these times when we have all been forced to look deep within ourselves.
After three singles that made it almost impossible to pigeon-hole their style or swagger, You Found Me Too is an acoustic ballad “an ode to unconditional love”.
The sound of an old gramophone needle, a softly tempered vocal that sounds reminiscent of Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters and an easy-going guitar melody that allows the vocal to take centre stage are the framework for a contemplative and considered perspective on the emotion that “makes the world go around”. There’s a lovely vocal “ooh, la, la” harmony section, which adds to the sense of reminiscence.
You Found Me Too can’t help but pull at the heart strings.
