Finn Johansson Releases 2nd Single & Full Mixtape to Celebrate First Season of ‘Finn Johansson’s 9-5’
Finn Johansson has been working 40 hour weeks as a crowdfunded musician. The product of the first 6 weeks, What A Way To Make A Living, with 2nd single There Were Things That I Forgot Here Were Things That I Forgot is out this Friday. And his 9-5 Season 2 is happening now!
Finn’s second single, out at the same time, There Were Things That I Forgot is, for lack of better words, a ‘rocking banger’, with the best synth solo and the third best guitar solo he’s put on tape.
The deft ears of Mix/master engineer DKYT polished this track to a mirror sheen while the drums from Jonathan Nott (Hans Pucket, ONONO) blasted that sheen into the stratosphere. All the while, the lyrics remind us how certain sneaky memories love to lie in wait for us in our dreams.
The other two tracks, Mountain and Fuckwit are – a lofi experimental breakbeat lullaby and a heartbreaking minute-long journey through a Dictaphone – respectively.
