Schkeuditzer Kreuz: “subversive” industrial punk LP arrives in EU & UK

The new LP Isolated and Alone from abrasive, post-industrial punk outfit Schkeuditzer Kreuz has at last been physically released in the UK and Europe this weekend through Pyrrhic Defeat Records , after original copies pressed in China late last year were seized by local authorities and, being judged “unfit for export” due to alleged “subversive content”, were ordered destroyed.

Schkeuditzer Kreuz is Kieren Hills: expat New Zealand punk veteran, now based in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales, Australia. Currently a member of Sydney hardcore band Dark Horse; occasional deathrock/gothic punk outfit Death Church; and a former member of riotous Wellington, New Zealand punk rock group S.M.U.T. (among others): Schkeuditzer Kreuz applies Kieren’s extensive background in DIY punk to creating brutal, harrowing industrial music, and his highly energetic “one human and some machines” live performances.

Physical LPs are available in Europe and UK from Pyrrhic Defeat Records, and from Bad Habit Records and Already Broken Records in Australia.

All proceeds from digital downloads on Bandcamp are donated to Transcend Australia, to support trans, gender-diverse, and non-binary young people.
