The Bemsha Swing release new single ‘Destroyed Chords’, about the joy of being an outsider

The Bemsha Swing today unleash Destroyed Chords, the third single from their forthcoming album, The Expectation and Experience of Dissonance, which will be released on Friday May 2nd.
After an absence of nearly a decade, The Bemsha Swing are making up for lost time. And their time is short, as Shane Warbrooke, one half of the current duo, is moving to Germany on May 9th.
Warbrooke says, “Destroyed Chords revels in the joy of being niche, anti, outside. The drive to swim upstream rather than be carried along in the mainstream.
As much as a bunch of underbullied nerd monsters want to suffocate taste with an endless parade of gormless algorithms, the joy of unintentionally finding your new favourite band in a shit bar on a thursday night is unkillable.
Perfection is a pretence, to err is to be human, and watching someone desperately fight their guitar to express the beast inside them will always eat the lunch of every heavily edited insta influencer on the planet.”
“Gimme that sweet sweet noise
A pure scream of feedback
Chords that have been destroyed
Smoke pouring out an amp”
Currently The Bemsha Swing lineup is Shane Warbrooke, Brian Purington (Swallow The Rat), and the ghosts of drum machines Artie and The Doctor, who have been imprisoned in a digital hell of their own making (Warbrooke sampled them into a modern sampler because they are too beaten up to tour with).
The first single from the new album was Empty Leather, which hung around at No. 3 on the 95bFM Top Ten for several weeks.
