Say Or Do Release New EP ‘Shifting Paradigms’
Hawke’s Bay alt-rock band Say Or Do push their sound forward with Shifting Paradigms – a bold, high-energy EP that blends gritty riffs, dynamic grooves, and emotionally charged storytelling. The record balances raw power with introspective depth, capturing the tension between holding on and moving forward.
Spanning eight tracks, Shifting Paradigms explores themes of change, perspective, and resilience. From the intensity of Pull the Trigger to the reflective tones of Awake, the EP delves into the push and pull of letting go and holding on. Songs like Gravity and Neon Lights showcase the band’s knack for dynamic songwriting, blending driving riffs with soaring melodies. Meanwhile, Take My Hand channels anthemic energy, while Wasting My Time brings a punch of defiance and urgency.
“This EP is about seeing things in a different light – whether it’s personal growth, relationships, or the world around us,” says Sam French, vocalist. “We wanted to push our sound forward, bringing in heavier, modern elements while staying true to who we are.”

Say Or Do have a string of live dates lined up to support the release from Taranaki, to Taupo, and a hometown show at Napier’s Paisley Stage supporting Powder Chutes for their album release tour.
