While each song on Of Water was initially crafted by freya alone with her acoustic guitar, the final recordings reveal layered soundscapes enriched by Leatherby’s production. The album seamlessly merges folk-inspired songwriting with ethereal electronic elements, creating an immersive, haunting, and healing listening experience.

The album was partially recorded at Big Fan studios, mixed at Depot Sound studio in Devonport, and mastered by Downbeat Mastering, ensuring an expertly crafted sonic journey.

Known for her confessional style, freya’s lyricism in Of Water is both intimate and deeply symbolic. With a poetic exploration of ghostly landscapes and water imagery, the album invites listeners to step into an emotive space where vulnerability meets catharsis.
