Emerging Kiwi Artist Zola Nova Announces First EP ‘Bliss Land’ Feat. Title Track ‘Dreamer’

Singer-songwriter Zola Nova is redefining Aoetearoa’s neo-soul music scene by fusing pop, R&B and jazz. Today, Zola announces her debut track Dreamer as part of her upcoming EP Bliss Land.
“Dreamer is a call to the child within you, the dreamer, to remember who you are and what you’re here for,” says Zola.
Originally from Auckland, Zola spent her childhood between the melting pot of Hong Kong Island and Aotearoa’s wild west coast beaches. She describes her music as dream-like, resonant, intimate and thought-provoking.
“Growing up in cities all over the world can be exhilarating, but it’s also hugely challenging. I reached an identity crisis point in London, left a career pathway in law, and realised I needed to return to NZ to connect to my place of birth. I devoted myself to my art, finding my community and connecting through music.”
Bliss Land is Zola’s ode to Aotearoa – the entire EP and visuals for Dreamer were written, recorded and filmed on Aotearoa’s black sand beaches and produced by Alix Whittaker (Marlon Williams, Skiilaa), edited by Sam Tozer (Genesis Owusu).
“This project was built piece by piece by creatives in New Zealand who are passionate about supporting emerging artists and dedicating their time and energy to keeping Kiwi music alive.
“There was definitely an air of serendipity surrounding us during the shooting of the video – the final take reflects the intention of the song: dreams, desires, struggle and achievement. I’m excited to present Dreamer to the world, and hope it inspires those who need a reminder of their magic and mission.”
