Lee Mvtthews will be back on Friday 26 September with their next single, Made For You, featuring the unmistakable vocals of NÜ – the voice behind their triple-platinum smash Takeover.
Releasing on September 26 via leading UK drum & bass label Elevate Records, Made For You blends NÜ’s incredible vocals with the duo’s signature energy, reuniting one of New Zealand’s most celebrated electronic acts with a vocalist who’s already part of their history.
Musically, Made For You balances the duo’s forward-thinking style with the roots that built their reputation. The track opens with an atmospheric intro before NÜ’s vocals take center stage, guiding listeners into euphoric territory that soon erupts into pure chaos. Recently, Lee Mvtthews have been blending their classic dance floor aesthetic with jump-up flavours, and this track is the perfect example – beginning on a dance floor tip before slamming into a heavy jump-up switch, topped with sound clash-inspired vocals that make it truly stand out.
Speaking on the creative process, the duo shared: “Nu sent us the start of this tune in just a small audio clip, instruments, vocals, and all, before we could actually work directly with her vocals. We had to build the track around a clip, which was a challenge, but we also think it helped achieve the sound we got in the end.”
That experimental approach pushed their production in new directions, resulting in a track that feels both fresh and familiar – and one fans are bound to have on repeat.
