Keren Mara Releases ‘Meet Me (On The Brink)’ Feat. Michèle Ducray
Dark pop music artist Michèle Ducray and Indie folk-rock artist Keren Mara, have teamed up for an electronic dance number, Meet Me (On The Brink). Having met at Ara Music Arts Christchurch, the two singer songwriter’s share a passion for expressing themselves through song, as well as a mutual belief in the metaphysical. So when Keren approached Michèle to collaborate on this project, it was a no brainier!
Meet Me (On The Brink) expresses the emotions where your world has shifted and you are at a tipping point, at the edge, the precipice. An innate desire to stay in that state of the unknown, with opposing ideas; Light and dark, day and night, life and death.
You are at the edge of something both exhilarating and terrifying. If jump off this bridge will I fall or fly? Will I survive this trauma? You know what freedom feels like, and you know what it means to suffer. It’s the human condition (over and over).
It’s about going beyond surrendering to the feelings (that are beyond yourself), but embracing them. And also, just maybe, knowing that your loved ones on the other side are okay.
