Upcoming Wellington Artist Felix Bird Debuts at San Fran This November
For the first time ever Felix Bird performs his debut show alongside staple Wellington band Debt Club and newly established Homing.
Felix Bird is an Aotearoa alt-rock artist based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara, Wellington, whose sound navigates between clever honesty and lush, sonic craftsmanship. Felix’s writing highlights the best parts of many genres, including folk, indie, and alternative adjacent, amalgamating them all into one auricular journey, which he dubs Haircut. Joined by his newly formed Band, this is a show not to miss!
Joining Felix is Wellington’s favourite alt-rock band, Debt Club. The 6 piece have been a core staple within the local scene for the past couple years. Known for their rich arrangements that blend anthemic saxophone melodies with thoughtful songwriting, Debt Club crafts a sound akin to indie legends MJ Lenderman and Pinegrove.
Homing – like a pigeon or a missile. Inspired by the likes of Alexander Graham Bell, they’re Wellington’s freshest group, combining singer-songwriter sensibilities with slack, drowsy indie. Wear two pairs of socks because at least one is definitely getting blown off.
