Turkey The Bird Return to Auckland with New Songs

Taranaki-based folk trio Turkey The Bird are hitting the road this weekend for two very special shows.
The band will kick things off on Friday 3rd July at the Katikati Folk Club, that show has already sold out. Following their recent appearance at the Auckland Folk Festival, where they quickly became a festival favourite for many, Turkey The Bird is excited to return to Auckland for the first time since that memorable performance.
On Saturday 4th July at 7.30pm, they will join forces with Auckland-based band Hoop for a special double bill presented by Ministry of Folk at the Auckland Guide Centre in Mount Eden. Tickets are available here.
The band will bring some brand new songs on tour, alongside favourites from their last 3 albums. Known for their rich vocal harmonies, catchy folk melodies, banjo-driven arrangements and heartfelt storytelling, Turkey The Bird delivers a unique blend of sounds shaped by their multicultural backgrounds from Aotearoa, Switzerland and Ireland.
This will be a great opportunity for Auckland audiences to experience one of Taranaki’s most loved original acts in an intimate live setting.
