Stars and the Underground Release ‘Echolocation’ Feat. Hannah Berry

Stars and the Underground, a NZ based Post Punk, Shoegaze and Dark Synthwave Project, met up with Hannah Berry of NZ based Dark Electronic project Talmar in the heat of summer naturally, to record Echolocation a single of the forthcoming album Guardians of the Night.
This song is on the shoegazey side, with Hannah from Talmar coming in to add an ethereal edge that lifts Echolocation to another level.
John Mcdermott’s (ex-Headless Chickens) production and powerful drumming and arrangement contribution brings their live sound closer to the studio.
In a recent post-punk.com review Stars and the Underground were described “as being from the same wind swept well as The Mission and The Church…”
“I think once people hear the whole album, there will be other styles that come to the fore like the more recent synthwave feel,” says John Mason (ex Winterland).
