The Splinters Announce NZ Tour

Wellington five-piece The Splinters are taking their freshly released singles Boogie Dipstick and Curriculum Vitae on tour this September, with shows in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
Having decided that three dates officially counts as a tour, The Splinters will be romping and stomping their way across the country like their lives and careers depend on it, because they do.
The run of shows kicks off at Whammy Bar in Auckland on Saturday 5 September, where The Splinters will be joined by local favourites Buzz and Blossom.
Buzz are a four-piece grunge/hard rock band from Tāmaki Makaurau. Loud, fast and raw, their sound draws from the grit and energy of the grunge bands that emerged from Seattle in the 90’s.
Formed in 2017 by music classmates Allan, Willem and Joseph, Blossom are a tight-knit trio crafting original songs that fuse grunge grit with alt-metal weight.
The tour then heads home to Wellington for a free show at San Fran on Wednesday 23 September, as part of Eyegum’s Free Wednesdays, before The Splinters make their first trip south for a Christchurch show at Darkroom on Friday 25 September.
Joining them at Darkroom are Christchurch locals Ragweed, an alternative metal outfit established in early 2021 and made up of vocalist and guitarist Cameron Buyers, bassist Bradley Jervis and drummer Sam Shore.
The tour follows the release of The Splinters’ two latest singles, Boogie Dipstick and Curriculum Vitae.
Expect beautiful music, tasty drums, snapped guitar strings and mosh pit beer spills.
