Killian Ordono teams up with Mikayla Criddle on ‘helpless fool’
Auckland independent artist Killian Ordono has released his new single helpless fool, featuring emerging artist Mikayla Criddle.
The October 7 release explores a softer side of Ordono’s music, blending dreamy R&B with alternative-pop and atmospheric production.
At its core, the song is about being emotionally attached to someone when you know you should move on. Its dreamy sound draws influence from artists such as The Marías while giving Ordono room to explore a more intimate style of songwriting.
The track marks the first collaboration between Ordono and Criddle, bringing together two emerging artists and their different vocal styles.
For Ordono, helpless fool represents a new musical direction and another step in developing his sound as an independent artist.
helpless fool is available now on streaming platforms.
