Brothers Part I: Spirit is a song about humanity’s relationship to the planet and the eternal. The brotherhood of Man and Earth.
Based on the whakatuaki – Whatungarongaro te tangata, toitū te whenua. As man disappears from sight, the land remains.
Released in it’s long form with Part II: Earth attached, Brothers Part I: Spirit is now released as a stand alone single with a stunning new video to celebrate its release. Rich colours and dynamic landscapes, the video, edited by Tom Scrase, continues the guided meditation presentation Aotūroa is becoming known for.
With a musical nod to influences Fat Freddy’s Drop and Electric Wire Hustle, Brothers Part II: Spirit is a groove infused, Taonga Pūoro peppered feast that takes an invested listener on a rewarding journey.
