New Zealand alt-rock artist Casey Coombes releases his debut solo single Crazy Sometimes, marking the beginning of a powerful new chapter in his musical journey.
Best known as the lead singer of NZ alternative rock band Checaine, Coombes steps forward as a solo artist with a sound that blends raw emotion, atmospheric guitar work, and cinematic production. Crazy Sometimes explores themes of inner conflict, momentum, and release, driven by a strong central hook and a sense of controlled chaos.
The track features respected New Zealand musician Liam Ryan (The Narcs), whose work on the Nord adds depth and texture, elevating the song’s sonic landscape.
The accompanying music video was filmed on the rugged west coast of New Zealand, where black sand, ocean, and fire create a striking visual identity that reflects the tone of the track.
