DARTZ Return with New Single ‘Plastic White Chairs’
DARTZ have returned with a new single Plastic White Chairs. Available today on all streaming platforms, Plastic White Chairs is the first glimpse of DARTZ’s upcoming third album, following up 2024 breakthrough LP Dangerous Day To Be A Cold One.
On Plastic White Chairs, DARTZ turn to one of Aotearoa’s humblest objects and find a whole world of community and generosity. The band celebrate the tradition of pulling another chair from the shed, passing kai around and making room at the table. For DARTZ, having enough means having enough to share with whānau, friends, and the generations still to come.
The accompanying music video – made by Joe Curtis and with the support of NZ on Air – was filmed at DARTZ’s beloved Newtown Bowling Club in Wellington, puts the song back inside the world that inspired it: kai, friends, whānau, and community.
Recently, DARTZ also announced an October tour, with dates all across Aotearoa, and a special Halloween show in their second home, Melbourne. Aiming to help those who are feeling the ongoing cost of living crisis: “Limited $15-20 ‘cheap seats’ tickets are available at all paid shows for those who need them.”, as well as a *free show* in Taupō.
