Hail, Meteor Release New Single ‘Sweet’
Hail, Meteor!, the acclaimed bi-lingual band from Wellington, is thrilled to announce the release of their new single, Sweet, available on multiple streaming platforms from today, Friday, March 7, 2025. This highly anticipated release sets the stage for the band’s second album, which is scheduled to drop mid-2025.
Hail, Meteor! is a five-piece ensemble consisting of Isobel Te Aho-White (bass, vocals), David Coventry (guitar, vocals), Simon Waterfield (drums, samples), Sarah Roberts (synth, vocals), and John Kingston (guitar). The band has gained a loyal following through their enchanting performances and unique sound, blending ethereal vocals, massive guitars, and a touch of reverb to create their signature “dark and dreamy death-pop” style.
In 2024, Hail, Meteor! headlined the Gathering Shadows festival in Te Aro and supported the legendary Mogwai at the Wellington Opera House, further solidifying their presence in the music scene. Their debut album, 4th Horse, was released in 2023 and features standout tracks such as In the Move, “he Black Sea, and Autumn Sees You.
