A deeply personal and kaleidoscopic journey, Silo Park is a sonic tapestry woven between two worlds – the familiar landscapes of Aotearoa and the restless pulse of New York City. Across its eleven tracks, Harper captures the cinematic scope of change, isolation, and self-discovery, charting his evolution as both an artist and a human being.

Produced by acclaimed US musician and producer Sam Evian (Big Thief, Cass McCombs), the album was recorded on 16-track tape in the storied Woodstock region of upstate New York – a deliberate, analogue process that demanded intention in every sound and performance. The sessions were coloured by solitude and the relentless hum of the city that never sleeps. The album’s opener, Man or Machine, sets this introspective tone from the very first note.

The project closes with its title track, Silo Park, a sprawling, psychedelic odyssey that returns Harper to a moment from his home country. With a rich 60’s/70’s rock sensibility, the song becomes a metaphorical descent into the darker areas of the mind – a “rabbit hole” Harper invites listeners to navigate themselves.

“I wanted to leave people with something unresolved,” Harper shares. “It’s up to you to find your way out of it.”

That sense of searching threads throughout the album – from the luminous ode to distance, Satellite, to the liberating spirit of Doves, the transient melancholy of Where Did She Go, to the emotive depths of Love and Loneliness and Broken Glass. Each track reflects Harper’s ongoing conversation with identity and purpose – questions amplified by life in New York, a city that constantly asks, “Who are you, and what are you doing here?”

Following his recognition as Breakthrough Artist of the Year (2021), his debut EP Newcomer delivered the Gold-certified single Dance Away These Days, now surpassing 5 million streams.

Over the past year, Harper Finn played as the live pianist for Balu Brigada on their massive Twenty One Pilots world tour, performing across South America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. He is now bringing his dynamic live energy to fans in the US as he continues to support Balu Brigada on their US tour.

To mark the release, Harper Finn returns home this November for two special Silo Park Live shows – his first New Zealand performances in two years:

November 20 – Double Whammy, Auckland

November 22 – Meow, Wellington
