Iveta & Simone release brand-new infectious offering ‘Black Widow’
Fierce NZ Rock queens Iveta & Simone are on their way up with their brand-new infectious offering Black Widow.
Following the success of earlier releases Corazon and More Than A Man, Black Widow was created in collaboration with Vienna based Composer Hermann Unterwurzacher with meticulous attention to detail, seductive melodies and hypnotising lyrics.
Described as “bewitching with an irresistible appeal”, Black Widow delves into the alluring power of a woman who leaves men powerless to resist her charms. This femme fatale takes control as she weaves her intricate web, leaving a trail of broken hearts in her wake.
“Our creative journey for Black Widow was deeply influenced by the captivating Arabic motives that we found in Sting’s iconic track, Desert Rose. Drawing inspiration from the enchanting sounds and cultural richness of the Middle East, we sought to infuse our own unique perspective into this compelling narrative, creating a musical tapestry that immerses listeners in the mysterious and seductive world of the Black Widow. A vocalist since childhood, Iveta has performed all over Europe both solo, and with bands. Winner of Eurodisc; she has also been the recipient of the Grand Prix of Art Rock Center and has featured on numerous top music television shows.
Simone’s accolades include artist, performer, and song writer. Performing in front of audiences since the age of 7, Simone is a musical chameleon having appeared on TV talent shows such as Chickaboom and Opportunity Knocks.
