King Ru x O.G Release New Single ‘Work It’ from Upcoming LP ‘Riddim n Rhyme’
Work It is the fourth and final single from the upcoming collaboration LP Riddim n Rhyme by producer Oakley Grenell and vocalist King Ru, scheduled for release on 9 October 2026.
Built around a heavy four-to-the-floor bass riddim, Work It is made to be played loud – whether in the club, at a house party, or through a sound system. The track is a celebration of dance, fashion and Jamaican Dancehall culture, while also reflecting on the importance of enjoying life beyond the daily grind.
King Ru and Oakley Grenell encourage listeners to work it out on the dance floor, combining high-energy riddim with an equally energetic vocal performance. The song celebrates the ideal Dancehall Queen – confident, expressive and passionate about dancing and all things Jamaican and Dancehall.
Beneath the party atmosphere, Work It also nods to the realities of the nine-to-five routine, highlighting the importance of balance and making the most of weekends, holidays and those moments when we can let loose.
Turn it up. Leave the nine-to-five behind. And WORK IT!
To support the release, an Australian east coast tour is currently in development for Dec 26 / Jan 27, with dates across major cities and summer festival appearances to be announced. The project has already generated early momentum following a preview DJ mix by Grenell on Melbourne’s PBS Radio in March and Channel 31 in September.
