Lily Stiven Releases first Single of 2026 ‘Heal’

Lily Stiven (pronounced “St-eye-ven”), the 19-year-old artist from Whangaparāoa, Auckland, has today released her first single of 2026 Heal. With her tender lyrics and heartfelt melodies in combination with the soft guitar, synth and mellow drums Heal reflects on a past relationship that you once thought was your everything. Produced by Phodiso Moeng Dintwe, this release marks Lily’s fifth independent track, following her 2025 releases Not My Own, What’s The Worst I Could Do and Williams Tragedy.
The track highlights Lily’s introspective songwriting style, exploring themes of heartbreak, loss, and nostalgia through powerful lyrics. Raw lines such as, “Don’t know how to deal with this,
I can’t be mad at you when I still love you,” & “Maybe I was blind to all the problems
But I didn’t want to face the idea of losing you, I just miss you” showcases a raw emotion that resonates throughout the song, making it an essential addition to your winter 2026 playlists.
Lily says, “I wrote this song the day after my first breakup when I was feeling really heartbroken and lost. Writing it helped me make sense of everything I was feeling. It’s about the pain of losing someone you loved and finding the strength to let them go so you can start healing and move forward”.
At just 19, Lily has already shown steady artistic growth, with previous singles Hopelessly in Love With You (2021), Lonely Days (2022), High and Dry (2023), Look Where I Am (2024), Williams Tragedy (2025), What’s The Worst I Could Do (2025) and Not My Own (2025). Drawing inspiration from artists like Olivia Dean, Lily’s music blends pop, indie, and R&B influences as she continues to evolve her sound and style.
Whether you’re reminiscing on what was or finding your way forward, Heal is the perfect soundtrack for moments of reflection. With raw emotion, honest storytelling, and a sound that lingers long after the song ends, Lily Stiven is an artist to keep an eye on.
