Molly Devine Delivers Disco-Infused Anthem With ‘Good Vibes’

Auckland-based artist Molly Devine is entering a bold new era with her latest single, Good Vibes, releasing April 25 through Timeless Records. Seamlessly blending disco, funk, pop, and soul, the track marks the start of a distinct new chapter for Molly — and it all started with a mirror from Bunnings.
“In the middle of a rough breakup, I bought this mirror that said ‘Good Vibes Only’ in rainbow neon lights,” Molly explains. “It became a little mantra — a reminder that I didn’t have to stay stuck in the sadness. One day I started humming, ‘for a while there I was sad and lonely, now I’m living on good vibes only’ — and the whole song just flowed from there.”
Good Vibes carries that same energy: upbeat, empowering, and impossible not to dance to. Comparable to Jessie Ware, Roisin Murphy, and Chromeo, Molly fuses retro-flavored disco with a modern indie touch. But it’s the personal story behind the music that gives it real staying power.
The song’s bridge, written just the day before hitting the studio, became one of Molly’s favorite moments:
“There’s so much space in my heart, I point my life at the stars.” “It came from the joy of being surrounded by these amazing musicians and feeling like something new was beginning,” she says.
As well as being a single, Good Vibes is also a statement of intent. As Molly hones in on a sound that feels like “slightly retro but still modern disco-funky vibes,” she invites listeners to join her in choosing positivity, movement, and joy — especially when life throws curveballs.
This release continues Molly’s artistic journey of genre exploration and emotional honesty, now with a more defined sonic identity and a beat that won’t quit.
Good Vibes is available on all streaming platforms from April 25.
