Particle Presents – Proteins Of Magic ‘Lethal’

Aotearoa (New Zealand) born, musician Kelly Sherrod is Proteins of Magic. On September 30th she will release her single Lethal.

Living between Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland and Nashville, Tennessee, Kelly is a multi-faceted artist working across both audio and visual formats. She writes, produces and performs all of her music, creates visual worlds from claymation to digital art and has played and toured with Dimmer and Oscar & Grammy winner Ryan Bingham. Through her work she blurs the boundaries between innovative alt-pop and contemporary art music, bringing into existence a world that is uniquely her own.

Kelly co-wrote Lethal with Matthew Sherrod (Beck, Macy Gray, Charlotte Gainsbourg), in the woods of Nashville, during a brutal summer heat-wave where the natural environment can feel both nurturing and perilous.

Kelly explains “Lethal is a meditation on the feeling of being empowered even in the face of negative forces.”

Proteins of Magic is the support act for the September 2022 8 date National NZ Dimmer Tour, which will be followed by her first headlining National NZ tour in October 2022.
