Kiwi surf-rock six-piece Sojøurn will release the groove-infused new EP Mystic Ways on Fri February 25 via the Meow label. The EP features popular singles More, Chasing Sunsets and the brand new single and title-track, which is accompanied by a must-see video animated by Steph Barnett. Sojøurn’s indie psych reggae sounds have struck a chord with music critics and fans alike, with each release steadily climbing the streaming charts and earning deservedly rave reviews. Mystic Ways marks a giant leap forward for the emerging group who have fast become an essential band on the NZ scene.
The critically acclaimed east-coast groovers pride themselves on their high energy live shows, and have translated that energy into a truly remarkable and deeply personal record featuring mature & hook-laden songwriting. Produced by Connor Jaine of Mako Road and recorded at home in the picturesque coastal town of Mangawhai, the 6-track EP is a body of work that brilliantly captures their true sound, and showcases the band’s recent journey through change, adversity, loss and positive growth.
