After a string of singles over the past year, Superglacier’s Pantomime arrives on 30 May to round out the sound that the band have been patiently building since 2022: one of searing immediacy and climactic, bruising guitars.

Pantomime was partially recorded at Q Theatre’s Loft by the band’s drummer, Andrew Furness. Later recording was completed at Big Fan Studios with help from producer Harry Thompson-Cook, who also mixed and mastered Pantomime himself.

Full of songs about anxious characters, dysfunctional relationships and people scared of showing their true selves, Superglacier’s debut release confidently asserts the kind of emotional transparency that rock music often shies away from.

“At one point I just realised all of the songs we were writing were about putting on a display, a performance of sorts, for the people around you. Pantomime felt like a fitting title,” says lyricist and vocalist Michael Garmonsway.

Superglacier are playing at Ding Dong Lounge on June 6th to celebrate the EP release, with support with Castlegarden & CCTV. Purchase Tickets Here.
