Finn says, “The guitar riff feels like Neil Young traversing the Sahara in his vegetable-oil Mercedes Coup.” .. and for those wondering, yes Neil Young does indeed own a 1982 Mercedes coupe that runs on vegetable oil. And this song sounds like that…but driving through a desert.
Unleash Your Animal is the 7th single from Finn’s upcoming solo project, Hyperverse, which is set for a very limited analogue-only vinyl release on Record Store Day April 12th, and then followed by a mainstream official release in June 2025.
Finn had a very busy 2024, both as a full-time member of Crowded House and as a solo performer. Completing a global tour of the USA, UK, Ireland, Europe, Australia and New Zealand Finn played over 70 shows closing out the year by supporting Pearl Jam at Auckland’s Go Media Stadium.
