Fan Club Release 2nd and Final EP ‘When You Land’
After three years of playing together on Aotearoa’s stages, Fan Club are signing off with one final body of work – a five-track EP made possible by their 2025 Burger Fuel Battle of the Bands win. When You Land gathers the band’s most-loved unreleased songs. It’s the sound of a band choosing to close the chapter on their own terms.
The focus track, Love Me Loudly, begins in a soft glow – a slow, gorgeous vocal from Emma. Then it swells, rising into a full-blown rock anthem with crashing guitars, lifted melodies, and the kind of emotional force that Fan Club are known for. It’s their most dynamic: tender, explosive, and impossible not to feel.
Across the EP, the band dive into everything they do best:
Popcorn Chest – a sharp, metaphor-rich portrait of self-destructive habits and the people who can’t stop chasing the burn.
Push/Pull – a cathartic cycle of loyalty, resentment, and forgiveness given over and over again.
Night Owl – a late-night rush of infatuation, restlessness, and indie-pop glow. This one was produced and engineered by Caleb Young in the Auckland Uni studio.

As their final release before calling it quits, When You Land is a love letter to their friends, family and loyal fans. It’s a bright, emotional farewell from one of Tāmaki Makaurau’s most exciting young bands.
