Abstract Fish Lungs are a four-piece Nu-Metcore band from Raglan, consisting of Josh Alexander (lead vox/guitar), Wai Ariki Tepania (lead guitar/vox), Hendrix Knox (bass) and Ethan Murray (drums).
Their first single Misery was released in 2023, and in 2024 they released Centre Stage on the back of their Smokefree Rockquest successes as finalists in the Waikato region – eventually placing in the top 30 nationally.
In early 2026 they released the debut EP Tribute IV a four track node to those formative years.
They plan to release their 12-song debut album The Bleak Midwinter on Halloween 2026 and will be releasing singles each month until, beginning with Seagulls dropping 3rd July 2026.
