Venice Qin has released a new track, Freak Out.
Venice says: “I’m back with a brand new single and yes, she’s a bit unhinged (in the best way). It’s called Freak Out – a hyper-pop-ish dance-floor cry for anyone who’s ever worried they were too much for someone. I wrote this one with the insanely talented Maribelle (AKA Vetta Borne) and we finished it in just a few hours – one of those magical days where the song basically wrote itself. It was mixed by goddess Lucy Blomkamp, and mastered by the iconic Antonia Gauci. Honestly, dream team.
Freak Out is about what happens when you finally stop keeping people at arm’s length. I spent so long protecting myself that when someone actually got close, I panicked. Suddenly I was overthinking every part of me – the loud, the messy, the chaotic. Always thinking, “What if I am too much?”
… But then, like any good coming-of-age drama, I thought: screw it. If I’m gonna be too much, I might as well be all of it. The freak, the chaos, the drama – fully unhinged and fully me. Embrace your freak!”
