Singer-songwriter Charlotte Yates releases new seven-track EP ‘Winter’s Eye’

Charlotte Yates’ Winter’s Eye has been co-produced with fellow Wellington-based artist, Brooke Singer of French for Rabbits. Brooke has also contributed synthesiser, piano and backing vocal performances on the seven track physical and digital release.

Several other well known Wellington musicians feature on the EP including Hikurangi Shaverien-Kaa (drums, percussion), Phoebe Johnson (bass), Elliot Vaughan (viola) and Wayne Mason MNZM (backing vocals).

Winter’s Eye was mixed by Lee Prebble in The Surgery and features detail of an artwork Tonight In the Mystic Garden 2007 by the prominent artist Elizabeth Thomson.

The first single Push Back comes with a companion video created by videographer Emma Robinson.

Charlotte and the multi-instrumentalist Show Pony look forward to performing a two-set show featuring all songs from Winter’s Eye at several venues over the coming months:
