Singer/Songwriter David Kirby Releases New Single ‘Dive Bar’
Wellington Based singer/Songwriter David Kirby’s newest release Dive Bar is here!
Following on from 2020’s Can’t Move For Doom EP, 2022’s Songs To Depress Your Dog and 2024’s single Of Pirates & Supermen. Dive Bar is a powerhouse of a track that sums up the apprehensive dread that comes with middle-aged uncertainty.
Trapped somewhere between Heaven and Hell; Dive Bar is packed full of the trademark dry-humoured, sardonic and self-deprecating lyrics that defines Kirby’s style. Aiming to do for existential crises what Stick Season did for break-ups, it’s raw, honest songwriting at its purest that anyone over 35 will begrudgingly relate to, and anyone under 30 will probably hate.
