Meddles Unveils Debut Single ‘Down Every Road’
Meddles are an alternative rock band from Auckland, New Zealand, consisting of Oliver Whiley (lead singer, guitarist), Alex Crook (guitarist), Sammy Woolfall (bass), and Simon Roberts (drums). Their sound comprises of gritty guitars, overlaid with melodic hooks; generating anthemic-style ballads.
Their debut single, Down Every Road, introduces listeners to an explosive and raw sound, glossed with psychedelia. The song reflects on naivety and self-assured confidence around blindly following something.
2025 saw Meddles round off a year of frequent gigging by jumping into the studio to record their debut EP, set to be released in 2026. Highlight gigs include headlining multiple shows at Ponsonby Social Club, supporting Christchurch-based indie-rockers Pool House, and opening for Dunedin’s Ivy at Whammy Bar.
